Oxytetracycline generally act as a bacteriostatic antibiotic with broad spectrum activity against Gram (-) and Gram (+) ve bacteria. Oxytetracycline is rapidly absorbed and effective in the treatment of many diseases caused by Gram +, Gram (-) bacteria, Spirochetes , Rickettsia and some Chlamydia.

Indicated for the treatment of Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Pasteurella, Clostridium spp., and some protozoal infections.
